OEYC participants enjoyed lots of activities this week. Scooping & measuring corn, playing with goop, slime...and pumpkins! OEYC staff mindfully plan and set up sensory play so that children have opportunities to explore, discover and simply have fun. Why not create a fall sensory bin to enjoy at home? Corn, leaves, acorns and pine cones are great items to add...use your imagination to create your own unique sensory bin. Pumpkins are great for sensory play....get out your potato masher, scoops, cups or just use your hands. Let your child reach in to that pumpkin and scoop and discover what's inside. Why not throw the pumpkin guts in a bin, take off your socks and have fun squishing your toes through it?
