Children were having fun exploring tin foil art today at the Haliburton OEYC!
Painting on tin foil gives children opportunities for sensory experiences and develops vocabulary and motor skills. Tin foil can be secured to an easel, or laid flat on a table. The tin foil can be left smooth which provides a canvas that is shiny and reflective or crinkle it up for a ‘bumpy’ canvas. Paint with paint brushes, cotton swabs, or allow children to use fingers and hands to paint with. Adding a few drops of dish soap to the paint creates a nice slippery feeling paint and aids in clean up as well. So get out your paint, a roll of tin foil, roll up your sleeves and have some fun!
